The QuestBar app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your quests stay on your device.
This website (questbar.app) uses basic analytics so we can see which pages are useful. That is separate from the app and is covered in “About this website” below.
All your quest data is stored locally on your Mac at:
~/Library/Application Support/questbar/questbar-quests.json
This file never leaves your device. You can view, edit, back up, or delete it at any time.
The QuestBar app does not require an internet connection and makes no network requests. It works entirely offline.
You have complete control over your data. Open it, edit it, back it up, delete it, or sync it however you like.
This site, questbar.app, uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find helpful. It may set cookies in your browser to do this. That is ordinary website analytics, it is completely separate from the app, and it tells us nothing about your quests. The app itself stays entirely offline.
